Microsoft, OpenAI and Google all hint at AGI approaching

Microsoft getting 75% of the profits of OpenAI have an incentive to say that we are near AGI. Sparks of AGI have now become Microsoft saying we are near AI with human reasoning.

Claims of AI reaching a level known as “artificial general intelligence” (AGI) have only grown since the introduction of recent AI language models like OpenAI’s GPT-4. If it’s not OpenAI, it’s Microsoft their corporate sponsor seeming to push the idea on to the media.

The Microsoft OpenAI deal is pretty negative.

The AGI Publicity Stunts of 2023

Microsoft researchers are called “scientists” in the media reports on this. That’s amusing. This is creating a general fear in the public about A.I. developments.
