I’m really not easily impressed by Generative A.I. “tools”. But on the contrary I find ElevenLabs really legit. I think their voices are pretty realistic. The most realistic and versatile AI speech software is getting more funding, after seed funding 2 months ago, they are about to get $18 million more.

They’re a voice technology research company, developing the most compelling AI speech software for publishers and creators. Their goal is to instantly convert spoken audio between languages.

ElevenLabs wants to transfer text-to-speech and audio-to-audio in any language, any voice, with the full range of emotions. It could be used for everything from creating audiobooks to dubbing movies.

So what sets apart Eleven Labs for me is their context-relevant emotion in their voices.

The AI mimics human emotion in reading the text, using context clues to decide the mood and adjusting tone and inflection to match. I believe they will become a best in class product one day.

The voice cloning research lab was founded in 2022 by former Google engineer Piotr Dabkowski and ex-Palantir strategist Mati Staniszewski, both natives of Poland have some swag in a sea of A.I. tool startups.
