It appears DeepSeek's approach and ideology has had an impact on China's national policy around generative AI. Not everything needs to show up on the stock market to matter. China's approach to proliferating models at a low cost will be difficult to combat.

Manus AI is soon going to have a lot of magentic AI peers and competitors. Given the history of mobile, we know that China will build more utilitarian and pragmatic application layer tools with generative AI. We know that the size of their mobile ecosystem means we'll see many agentic AI features that improves what Chinese consumers can do in terms of accessing services and convenience.
