What is Code Interpreter?
Are A.I. tools getting a bit ahead of themselves?

Welcome back, I hope your summer is going well.
Code Interpreter is trending on Twitter, as I write this.
As ChatGPT Pro is having some problems with traction,
Code Interpreter will be available to all ChatGPT Plus users over the next week.
It lets ChatGPT run code, optionally with access to files you've uploaded.
You can ask ChatGPT to analyze data, create charts, edit files, perform math, etc. Plus users can opt in via settings.
Scholars like Ethan Mollick sounds very bullish about the potential of Code Interpreter:
I have no affiliation with this Newsletter, I just recommend them.
A.I. influencers on Twitter and LinkedIn constantly exaggerate each new release, even as OpenAI’s numbers twindle in reality.
Worldwide desktop and mobile traffic to the ChatGPT Web site decreased by 9.7 percent last month from May, while unique visitors to ChatGPT’s site dropped 5.7 percent. The amount of time visitors spent on the site was also down 8.5 percent, the data showed.
OpenAI of course does not disclose ChatGPT Pro, but adding Code Interpreter now is a sign of desperation.
