What is Google Project Jarvis the Chrome Automation Agent?

Do you remember the demo in 2019 about Google promising it could help consumers with certain things? It was called Google Duplex, and it literally never arrived - that was five years ago.

This December, Google will market another kind of iteration of this called internally Project Jarvis. It will take Anthropic’s Computer Use but for the journeys of Google searches and fit SGE with some rudimentary task automation.

“Project Jarvis,” as it’s reportedly codenamed, would carry tasks out for users, including “gathering research, purchasing a product, or booking a flight,” according to three people the outlet spoke with who have direct knowledge of the project that The Information spoke with.
