The idea of AI-devices has always been a bit far-fetched even as wearables and smart tech that we wear have been an incredibly difficult market to get right. Anyone from Humane to OpenAI basically is going up against Apple, and that rarely makes sense. Even in the nascent days of the Metaverse, it makes absolutely no sense from a startup or consumer B2C perspective.
Humane on September 29th, 2023 revealed the full form factor of its inaugural device - the Humane Ai Pin. The Ai Pin was shown as part of a collaboration with Paris-based fashion house Coperni at their 2024 Spring Summer show at Paris Fashion Week. Supermodel Naomi Campbell is the first person outside of the company to wear the device in public, ahead of its full unveiling on November 9.
