What is Kling AI?
Sora already arrived, and it's made in China. Breaking News in Video Generation.
Hey Everyone,
I’ve long believed Chinese developers and its larger mobile app ecosystem is better at building applications that can go global. I don’t think Generative AI will be any different.
While we’ve been waiting for OpenAI’s Sora, that got a lot of hype from paid posters and bots on Twitter, enter Kling AI.
This product is built by $30 billion Chinese short-video app Kuaishou aka Kwa who are a major rival of Douyin, the TikTok of China.
With simple text prompts, Kling can generate highly realistic videos in 1080p high-definition resolution.
The videos can be up to 2 minutes long. The model boasts the ability to produce realistic motions on a large scale, simulate the attributes of the physical world, and weave concepts-imagination together.
Kling promises 2-minute videos in HD at 30 frames per second, offering a better understanding of physics and movement.
According to Tom’s Guide, built by the Chinese video platform company Kuaishou, its features include longer video generations, improved movement, better prompt following and multi-shot sequences. Unlike Sora, it seems Kling is already being made available to users through a waitlist.
The Kling AI Model, which is in the trial stage, can process text into video clips up to 2 minutes long with 1080p resolution, supporting various aspect ratios, app operator Kuaishou Technology said.
