How Google will leverage PaLM-2 for Healthcare is one of the big things I’m watching in 2023. How large language models (LLMs) encode clinical knowledge to empower and augment physicians and nurses is super interesting.
It has the power to improve early diagnosis at scale, lower healthcare costs, improve accessibility and enable a more patient-centric journey, among many other things. I believe Google Health is at the forefront of healthcare and artificial intelligence.
The convergence of improved productivity, RPA, Generative AI and low-code may enable a new kind of healthcare that’s more patient centric and where clinicians are able to make better decisions faster with A.I. This will take many years to see fruition on the front lines of healthcare. I am exceedingly optimistic about this.
In short, automation and technological upgrades will support clinicians and usher in new smart hospitals that reduce burnout and churn of healthcare workers, while improving patient experiences.
Google Health’s approach to using Google DeepMind for A.I. for Good in the future is gaining traction with PaLM-2 in a big way.
