What is Quora's A.I. Chatbot Poe?
Poe is for now a standalone product that’s independent of Quora itself because of how quickly AI developments and changes are now taking place in early 2023.
Hey Everyone,
Quora has always been a place where you could ask questions to the internet and get expert answers. Poe stands for: Platform for Open Exploration. And I’m stoked about it. The reason being is because Q&A is so much about the utility of the internet. Conversational A.I. has to upgrade text based search, not just with ChatGPT and Bard, but with new tools across the web.
Quora even describes itself different with Poe now:
A place to share knowledge and better understand the world. Now building Poe — fast, helpful AI chat.
The world does want helpful AI chat and chatbot personalized to us and our needs and preference.

Many of us skip Google to ask ChatGPT or one of its siblings Q&A, questions and answers. This is because ChatGPT can not only provide answers, but help us TL;DR the answers, convert them into bullet points or anything else we need.
Even
had a segment on Quora's Poe that I found very interesting. He said:“Sitting as an iPhone app (with plans for Android and a web experience soon), it has a slick messaging interface, is actually much faster than ChatGPT for me, provides suggested follow-up prompts, clickable topics to go further down the rabbit hole and has multiple different bots with cute little names. Don't let their cuteness fool you, they are different models - Sage is from OpenAI, Heron is from Anthropic and Dragonfly is another OpenAI model.
I spoke with the Quora founder about the app and there's a lot more to come that I wasn't allowed to see 👀 . They're betting that people will want the ability to choose which models they interact with.”- Ben Tossell.
What appeals to me is Poe for Quora is also a stand-alone product in an app.
